When teenager Sam (George Ferrier from TV series Dirty Laundry) is sent home from boarding school, the last thing he wants is to help his dad (The Luminaries” Martin Csokas) care for his cranky, newly arrived, gin-swilling grandmother Ruth. The two immediately butt heads. But a bond grows between them as Ruth reveals her fearless spirit, and a desire to grab life while she still can. Ruth is played by legendary British actor Charlotte Rampling (45 Years, The Night Porter).
