Coronado has always had a need for speed. From the roar of jet engines above North Island Naval Air Station, to naval aviation, to the backdrop for Top Gun, speed has long been part of the island’s identity.
This June, speed hits the ground as the Coronado Island Film Festival celebrates NASCAR San Diego Weekend with a special evening screening of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
With engines roaring across the island and thousands of racing fans and visitors in town, this is more than a movie night. It is a fun, community-centered evening that brings together film, sport, and Coronado spirit.
